1871: The Chicago Fire

On October 8, 1871, there was a huge and destructive mishap known as the Chicago Fire. This fire killed 300, left 100,00 homeless, and cost the city of Chicago over 3 billion dollars. Scientists have proven four possible causes, that could have started the entire disaster.

The first theory is about Mrs O'Leary. They say this woman received a late night order of some milk. She went into the barn, and uncausiously left a lit lantern right next to her cow.
